Alcona Site Terms

These terms apply to use of the Alcona County Released Inmates website and its links, reference material, and partner search tools. By using the site, a visitor accepts these conditions. A person who does not accept them should stop using the service.

This is a privately owned reference resource with no government affiliation. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides a consumer report or an FCRA-covered service.

Nature of the Service

The site is not affiliated with Alcona County, the Sheriff’s Office, Iosco County Jail, a Michigan court, MDOC, or any local, state, or federal agency. It keeps no official custody or court records and cannot confirm a release, change custody, post bond, or file a request for a visitor.

Its purpose is to organize official Alcona County release routes, Michigan corrections resources, facility information, and links to outside research tools. It is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.

Acceptable Use Rules

Visitors must use the site and any information found through it lawfully and responsibly.

  • Do not break a law while accessing or using the service.
  • Do not stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten another person.
  • Do not use content for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another regulated eligibility decision.
  • Do not attempt to enter restricted systems or accounts.
  • Do not operate bots, scrapers, or automated extraction tools.
  • Do not impair the service or interfere with another visitor.

No Consumer Reports or Screening

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide credit reports, background checks, consumer reports, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners through this site. Visitors agree not to use information reached here for any FCRA-covered purpose.

  • Employment, hiring, retention, promotion, or dismissal decisions
  • Tenant selection, housing access, or lease decisions
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing
  • Licensing, permits, or government-benefit eligibility
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

Links and Outside Services

Links may point to sheriff and corrections sites, release records, government portals, legal resources, and third-party search services. A link is not an endorsement. Outside services control their own content, data practices, fees, terms, and availability, and visitors should review those rules before use.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are supplied “as is” and “as available.” No express or implied warranty is made concerning:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information
  • Continuous or uninterrupted access
  • Freedom from errors, defects, or security weaknesses
  • The scope or quality of a partner’s search results

Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing displayed here is an official statement from the Alcona County Sheriff, MDOC, a court, or another agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent Michigan law permits, the site, its owners, and its content partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive loss arising from access to, reliance on, or inability to use the site or an outside link.

Your Duty to Indemnify

A visitor agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its owners harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by that visitor’s use of the service, violation of these terms, or infringement of another person’s rights.

Ownership of Site Material

Unless a separate source is identified, the site’s text, graphics, logos, organization, and code belong to Alcona County Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, republished, or modified without written permission. Government records reached through links remain subject to their own rules.

Revisions to These Terms

These conditions may be changed at any time. A revised version takes effect when posted. Continued use after publication means the visitor accepts the updated terms.

Suspension of Access

Access may be limited, suspended, or ended at any time and without advance notice, including when use threatens security, violates these terms, or disrupts the service.

Michigan Law Applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Michigan.

If One Term Is Invalid

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected provision will be narrowed only as much as needed to make it enforceable.

Questions About These Terms
